2019 Performers Lineup:
Wayne & Peggie Duo
Bred on gospel, soul, funk rock, and blues in Atlanta, Georgia, singer/songwriter Peggie Hoskins began “performing” at a young age. She experienced her first recording at the tender age of four and the future diva could be heard belting out gospel tunes in near perfect pitch. A songbird was born. She began at the age of 6 studying piano and music theory and continued on until just out of high school.
In early 1994 while competing in a local competition, Peggie grabbed the attention of Five Star Productions of Nashville, Tennessee. With this group she began performing professionally traveling all over the southeast.
In 2000 while in the studio recording a jingle for Kroger, Peggie met the incredibly talented guitarist & vocalist/songwriter Wayne Langford. Wayne had recently come off the road as a traveling musician for several major artists. Immediate chemistry was evident and the two formed a dynamic duo together. Wayne & Peggie quickly become highly regarded for their impeccable vocal harmonies topped with melodic guitar grooves. Their song Good Rain became the theme song for the Atlanta Women’s Film Festival in 2006 and they continue to write songs that stem from life experiences. They are currently back in the studio working on their dance tunes Underwater and Get Lucky. Wayne & Peggie have traveled all over the southeast performing for corporate events, weddings, clubs and opening for major artists. Their ability to expel tremendous energy and cover all types of music has this musical duo in high demand and continues to warrant a loyal fan base.
