“We were only a cover band, but we became popular,” said drummer Mike Terrell, who joined the band in 1974. “We stayed on the road a good bit touring. We played about 10 states and as far away as Arkansas.” The band cultivated and maintained quite a following, not only in its home state of Georgia but all over the Southeast by extensively working the college and club circuits.
The Peek Brothers
The Peek Brothers have been playing music together on and off their whole lives. The brothers all grew up playing in the high school marching band and as fate would have it, each brother settled into the necessary roles of a four piece band; Jonathan on electric bass, Nathan on drums, and Zeb and Simon on guitars. Although the brothers have all been involved in various music projects individually, they have always seemed to gravitate back to jamming with each other. Most recently the Peek Brothers have been playing at the monthly blues jam and also as a featured act at the High Cotton Music Hall in Hartwell GA. Influenced by everyone from BB King to Jimi Hendrix to Stevie Ray Vaughn, the Peek Brothers have great love for the blues, traditional and contemporary.
